Not being able to slot things into genres is something that rarely happens. Especially when it comes to music, because we live in an era when the “new” old thing is making it easier. Senses is acquired, the first album the band HFT, the antithesis of what became the film world non-Indians and non-Hindi music.
This year a good year for Indian bands, and with the maiden voyage Advaita (in floor space), acquired Senses album is one of the most audible of the year. The seven tracks on this album HFT group very well received and this aptly titled his final.
For a very long time now HFT band’s two pillars in the shape of Arjun Sen and Lew Hilt were highly sought after acts in India. Which is in jazz and blues music scene in the country concerned to be blown away by the sheer bravery guitar Sen.
And when Lew Hilt, one of the earliest musicians to rock India, you know, you hear are something special. The group is known as a very original, and his compositions transcend genres, it is extremely difficult to identify these guys.
Followed by analysis of the album track “Sense Acquired”
Consistently placed the album begins with the sky of the earth, a smooth jazzy track which is highlighted by the excellent bass Hilt. Speed changes immediately instills little story elements Tanpura fusion with the tribes in the background.
This album is nothing short of a trip, and all traces of other rejects limits that go in different directions.
With circles is that you finally understand the genius of HFT-band. Circles present an extravagance the backbone of the HFT – as opposed to groups that are vying for the perfect harmony between them, we get the differences between the low and leadership that does exactly, in fact, they coexist seen.
Aided by drummer Sam Shull is made, it can take 8 minutes is what it is all about. Like its name, is venturing on a camel idlis experimental enough in foreign areas.
Shull led by drums and heavy bass Hilt, Sen is in his element with another surprise, the road between this album. This fine classic “blues” track is powerful and contagious at the top of the album.
What a bunch of HFT separates his contemporaries, they are a highly polished act and yet they keep the rawness that one seeks.
This is not a band to tear at any point to send to prove and I thank God for that. No room to move airy atmosphere created the first track and the final round (I rest my case) is the trio that all major wind, one way.
If you hear someone talking behind the scene has changed Indian music, chances are that what they meant.
Note “acquired Sense” Album: 4 / 5
