Rod Stewart and American Classic Songs

I’ve never been a big fan. When I heard the classic songs “Rod Stewart was not the singer that comes to mind. When I heard” American classic songs from the past 60 years, I thought it ‘ was the most stupid idea he had ever heard … well, not so stupid that the loans in foreign currencies to manage the domestic debt, but it has been.

Now you can love campy classics like Stewart “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy,” “Hot Legs” and “Maggie May”, but only I heard his “Great American Songbook II” ‘m completely surprised. .. to the point where the hair on my arms stood up again and again (one of my personal benchmarks for a musical) during times of “the way you look tonight. Now, frankly, I have a new appreciation of rod whole catalog Mod.

That said, I can enthusiastically support Stewart last departure: “Best of the Great American Songbook.” Bottom Stewart at the root of “Someone to watch over me”, his signature gravel which tells the story not as the other vocalist. When you get to “Time After Time” and the infusion of Stevie Wonder “What a Wonderful World”, can say after listening to these songs, Rod Stewart must be at least ten albums the “American Songbook”.

Some moments of heart that previous work are excluded, but there is a great job here, I am obliged to say, Rod Stewart, now I am a fan and admirer, and I apologize for having hated (I does not retract the statements on the U.S. financial stupidity.)
